The Nifty 50 rose 1.66%. The Nifty 50 sits in the lowest fifth of its 52-week range, 12.7% below the high.

Foreign institutions were net sellers of ₹1,857 crore in the cash market on 14 October, and domestic institutions net buyers of ₹2,670 crore. Domestic money absorbed the foreign flow, which is why the index moved less than either side's figure would suggest. Over the last 5 sessions foreign institutions were net sellers of ₹21,384 crore.
