Dubai is an important market for us, says SBI Funds’ MD & CEO Debasish Mishra

State Bank of India set out an expansion.

Following its public listing, SBI Funds Management is expanding beyond traditional urban centres toward overseas hubs such as Dubai and deeper Indian markets such as B100 cities. The fund manager is scaling non-traditional strategies, while navigating shifting economic cycles.

Against that, the stock is -1.1% on the day at ₹948.05, and has returned -8.7% over three months. It sits 23% below its 52-week high. The banks sector has moved -4.0% over the same period, so State Bank of India is running 4.7 points behind its peers.

For State Bank of India, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the banks peer set alongside it.

  • The company directly in focus is SBIN.
