Wipro continues to target around 7,500 campus hires annually, although this fiscal year's intake could be slightly lower, the company's Chief Human Resources Officer Saurabh Govil said in an interview with NDTV Profit.
The analysis
Against that, the stock is +5.6% on the day at ₹183.85, and has returned -0.3% over three months. It sits 33% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The it sector has moved +2.9% over the same period, so Wipro is running 3.2 points behind its peers.
For Wipro, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the it peer set alongside it.
