Indian Renewable Energy reported ₹554 crore, Rs 549 crore and Rs 2,345 crore for Q2 FY26, with movement of 31%, 14% and 15% attached to those lines. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.

Against that, the stock is -2.1% on the day at ₹106.54, and has returned -11.7% over three months. It sits 32% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The financial services sector has moved -9.4% over the same period, so Indian Renewable Energy is running 2.3 points behind its peers.

For Indian Renewable Energy, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the financial services peer set alongside it.

  • Earnings versus expectations is what actually re-rates a stock; the surprise matters more than the absolute number.
  • Credit growth and asset quality are the pulse of the financial sector, which is the largest weight in Indian indices.
  • The shift to renewables is redrawing which energy names are structural winners versus stranded.
  • The company directly in focus is IREDA.
  • Sector exposure: Financial Services.
