The analysis
Adani Power reported ₹7,019 crore, Rs 2,906.46 crore and Rs 17,014.06 crore for Q2FY27, with movement of 142%, 9.7% and 29.8% attached to those lines. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.
Against that, the stock is -2.0% on the day at ₹181.59, and has returned -14.6% over three months. It sits 27% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The power sector has moved -16.6% over the same period, so Adani Power is running 2.0 points ahead of its peers.
For Adani Power, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the power peer set alongside it.
