Fourth Partner Energy secures ₹750 cr for renewable project in Maharashtra
Tata Capital set out an expansion in an energy transition development.
· BS Companies
Fourth Partner Energy Ltd. (FPEL) has secured Rs 750 crore in financing from Tata Capital Cleantech Finance (TCCL) to develop a hybrid renewable energy project in Maharashtra combining solar, wind and battery storage, as developers increasingly turn to energy storage to provide more predictable clean power to corporate consumers.
The analysis
Tata Capital reported ₹750 cr, Rs 750 crore and Rs 375 crore. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.
Against that, the stock is -0.3% on the day at ₹307.15, and has returned -11.3% over three months. It sits 20% below its 52-week high. The financial services sector has moved -11.5% over the same period, so Tata Capital is running 0.2 points ahead of its peers.
For Tata Capital, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the financial services peer set alongside it.
Why it matters
- The shift to renewables is redrawing which energy names are structural winners versus stranded.
Market context
- The company directly in focus is TATACAP.
- Sector exposure: Financial Services, Power, Capital Goods & Engineering.
