Central Depository Services reported ₹173 cr, Rs 173 crore and Rs 417 crore for FY27, with movement of 24%, 22% and 47% attached to those lines. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.

Against that, the stock is -1.5% on the day at ₹1,263.00, and has returned -5.5% over three months. It sits 24% below its 52-week high. The capital markets sector has moved -6.3% over the same period, so Central Depository Services is running 0.8 points ahead of its peers.

For Central Depository Services, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the capital markets peer set alongside it.

  • Earnings versus expectations is what actually re-rates a stock; the surprise matters more than the absolute number.
  • In focus: Central Depository Services (CDSL), in Capital Markets.
  • Over three months: Central Depository Services -5.5% against Capital Markets -6.3% (0.8 points ahead).
