Jio Platforms is gearing up for an impressive ₹30,213-crore initial public offering, set to debut on October 21. Following suit, Paras Healthcare is also preparing to launch its own ₹1,450 crore IPO. Meanwhile, several companies whose IPOs wrapped up last week will be hitting the stock market this week, including Vaibhav Vyapaar, Ravita Engineering Services, and Shellz India.
Key facts
- Dates in focus
- October 21
The analysis
Reliance Industries reported ₹30,213 and ₹1,450 crore. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.
Against that, the stock is -0.3% on the day at ₹1,211.20, and has returned -6.6% over three months. It sits 24% below its 52-week high. The oil & energy sector has moved -3.2% over the same period, so Reliance Industries is running 3.4 points behind its peers.
For Reliance Industries, the question is how much of this is already reflected in the price and how much re-rates the oil & energy peer set alongside it.
Why it matters
- Listing activity is a read on risk appetite — a hot primary market usually means a confident secondary one.
Market context
- The company directly in focus is RELIANCE.
- Sector exposure: Oil & Energy.
