Where the market stands

The Nifty 50 rose 1.30% in the last session. The Nifty 50 sits in the lowest fifth of its 52-week range, 14.5% below the high.

Foreign institutions were net sellers of ₹3,569 crore in the cash market on 9 October, and domestic institutions net buyers of ₹4,743 crore. Market breadth

22 of 25 sectors advanced. The move was broad, with gains spread across most of the market rather than concentrated in a few sectors. IT led and Oil & Energy lagged, a spread of 2.4 points between the two ends of the market.
