10 stocks plunge up to 53% from their yearly peaks

Rail Vikas moved lower.

· Economic Times Markets, ET Stocks

India’s market correction has pushed several midcap stocks sharply below their 52-week highs. Ten stocks, including Rail Vikas Nigam, PB Fintech and Swiggy, have fallen between 40% and 53%, underperforming broader indices amid heightened volatility and sustained selling pressure.

Rail Vikas reported movement of 53% and 40%. Those are the figures as filed — what moves the price is how they sit against what the market already expected, not their absolute size.

Against that, the stock is -0.7% on the day at ₹187.18, and has returned -16.4% over three months. It sits 52% below its 52-week high, which means a good deal of bad news was already in the price. The infrastructure sector has moved -16.6% over the same period, so Rail Vikas is running 0.2 points ahead of its peers.

With Rail Vikas, PB Fintech and Swiggy all implicated, this reads as a Infrastructure-level move rather than a company-specific one, which is the more durable kind of signal.

  • It touches several names at once (RVNL, POLICYBZR, SWIGGY), which points to a sector-level rather than company-specific driver.
  • Sector exposure: Infrastructure, Insurance, Hotels & Restaurants.
  • The immediate tone of coverage reads negative.
